Something happened to your Premium player and you need to reset it or replace it with a new one.
No worries, it is not difficult to replace a player from the portal.
Reset and get a new discovery code
There are cases where you want to start over again.
- Connect a keyboard to the player and hit Escape to quit playback.
- The gray screen of the DISE Control Center is shown. In the top are some buttons.
- Click the Trashcan icon or hit F11 on the keyboard to reset.
Say Yes to the question whether to reset the player. - The player will retrieve a new discovery code and display it, example below.
Enter discovery code in Portal
If you need to register an existing player with a new discovery code, please do the following:
- Log in to Portal, select the Players tab and go into the player.
- Click the Tools icon in the top right corner, then select Settings > Discovery code.
- Type in the discovery code as you see it on the screen and click Save.
- Publish the player.
- After a little while, the new player will pick up the setting and start to play.
Replace player
You have a two main options to replace a player:
Player-specific installer
- Log in to Portal, select the Players tab and go into the player.
- Click the Tools icon in the top right corner, then select Installer.
- An installer package is downloaded.
- Run the installer package on the player. It will automatically connect the new player to the Cloud.
General installer
- Log in to Portal, select the System tab and go to Downloads.
- Click Premium player installer.
- An installer package is downloaded.
- Run the installer package on the player.
- Once the player is installed, it will display a discovery code.
- In Portal, select the Players tab and go into the player.
- Click the Tools icon in the top right corner, then select Settings > Discovery code.
- Type in the discovery code as you see it on the screen and click Save.
- Publish the player.
- After a little while, the new player will pick up the setting and start to play.
