Custom roles allow users to create their own roles and permissions in the CX Portal. There are a range of different permissions to set up.

Each component of the CX Portal has different permissions to set. They are listed below.

Creating a Custom role

To create a new custom role the first step is to log in to the CX Portal. 

Navigate down to the admin tab and go into 'Roles'. 


Under the roles tab there is a 'Create' button in the top right.

This will bring the user to the 'Create roles page'. 


There are many different options available. 



First, give the role a name. 

This name will be visible for everyone that can select and set roles on users and for the users that have the role. 


There are also a few presets to choose from. 


Allow all: This gives the role permission to do everything on the Portal. 

Deny all: This removes all permissions except for 'Folder' and 'Location. 

Preset: This bases the new role on another one by using it as a preset. 


When that is done, start customizing therole. 

The options that can be edited are shown in the table above. 


Each CX Component will have an option dropdown that looks like below. Each one contains different permissions that can either be enabled or disabled to that role.
