Installation

  1. Run initial screen set up, including firmware, power settings, date/time and any other additional settings.
  2. Select 'EZ SETTINGS' tab.
  3. Select 'SI server setting'.
  4. Set 'Application Launch Mode' to 'Local'.
  5. Set 'Fully Qualified Domain Name' to 'On'.
  6. Type in the URL for the relevant OS:
    1. http://go.dise.tv/webos4/Xpress.ipk
    2. http://go.dise.tv/webos41/Xpress.ipk
    3. http://go.dise.tv/webos6/Xpress.ipk
  7. Set 'Application Type' to 'IPK'.
  8. Click 'REMOTE'.
  9. A reboot may be needed to complete the installation.
  10. Create a Display in the CX portal.
Installation steps may differ depending on device model.

Installation from USB

  1. Open the installation URL for the relevant OS in a browser:
    1. http://go.dise.tv/webos4/Xpress.ipk
    2. http://go.dise.tv/webos41/Xpress.ipk
    3. http://go.dise.tv/webos6/Xpress.ipk
  2. The IPK file will automatically start downloading.
  3. Create an 'application' folder in the root of the USB.
  4. Rename the IPK to 'com.lg.app.signage.ipk'.
  5. Add the IPK to the 'application' folder.
  6. Open screen settings.
  7. Select 'EZ SETTINGS' tab.
  8. Select 'SI server setting'.
  9. Set 'Application Launch Mode' to 'Local'.
  10. Set 'Fully Qualified Domain Name' to 'Off'.
  11. Set 'Application Type' to 'IPK'.
  12. Click 'USB'.
  13. A reboot may be needed to complete the installation.

Debug Overlay

Press '1' on the screen's remote or connect a keyboard and press '1' to show the debug overlay:

  1. Player information.
  2. Player log.
  3. Player settings:
    1. 'Clear log' - Clear debug overlay of logs.
    2. 'Clear settings' - Delete all Dise settings and generate a new pairing code.
    3. 'Clear content cache' - Delete all content and re-download playlist.
    4. 'Reload' - Restart Dise.
  4. Display log level - Set what level of logging is shown on the overlay. By default this is set to the highest level 'debug'.
