Color Settings

The 'Color settings' tab is located in 'Object Properties':

  • Load and save palettes.
  • Adjust single colors.
  • Color history with the last used colors.
  • Currently selected palette name.

Save a Palette

  1. Select colors.
  2. Click the save button next to the pallete name.
  3. Enter a name for the palette.
  4. Click 'OK'.
  5. The newly created palette will be available when browsing palettes: 

Reset a Palette

Click the reset button to change the palette back to the last saved version:

Change Colors in a Palette

Temporarily change the colors in a palette to the selected color:

When Composer is closed the palette will automatically reset back to the last saved version of the palette.

Change Object Color

Color changes will only impact the selected object.

Color Wheel

Select a color in the wheel and use the slider to change the luminance of the selected color:image-1695820117852🔎︎

Color Comparison

The original color and current color of the selected object are shown in two boxes below the color wheel. Select a box to quickly change to that color:image-1695820192875🔎︎

Color History

A history of the last 5 selected colors is shown at the bottom of color settings. Select a box to quickly change to that color:image-1695820245909🔎︎

Delete Palette

Navigate to the CX Composer palettes Windows folder to delete palettes, usually located at C:\DISEContent\System\Palettes


Color Models

Use different color models to specify the exact color you need:

  • RGB (Red, Green, Blue) color values. Values range between 0 – 255 for each color component.
  • HSV (Hue, Saturation, Velocity) color values. Hue values range between 0-360, saturation and velocity values range between 0-255.
  • CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) color values. Values range between 0-255 for each color component.
  • Hex (#) value.

Gradient Objects

Change the secondary color of a gradient by selecting a color with the right mouse button.


Color Palette

The color palette is located in the top men under the 'Home' tab:image-1695820400725🔎︎

  • Choose colors from the selected palette.
  • Click the multi-colored square to choose from the default and any custom palettes.
  • Use the slider to change the opacity of the selected object.
