Webpage Object


Article summary

The Webpage objectwill show web pages in your Dise Movie, either as a still image or moving (with playing embedded objects). Web pages are cached in the background so there is no delay before displaying an object with a web page, reloading is done in the background. The Webpage object is Chromium based.

In the Objects tab, double-click on the webpage icon or click it and drag into the edit area. This will bring up the Webpage properties.


General

General settings tab: 🔎︎

  • URL / File - URL to the web page, this could also be a local path to a file or a path to a file on a shared directory at a server.
  • Connect Data... - Connect the object to an external file or a variable.
  • Hide scrollbars - Hide scrollbars on the selected webpage.
  • Append variables to URL - Append any variables in the Dise movie to the URL as query paramaters
  • Make object transparent if loading fails - Instead of displaying a black background, the web page will not be visible if it fails to load.
  • Transparent background - Make the background of web page page transparent if background color is not specified in the html code.
  • Background color - Select the background color of the webpage if this has not been specified in the html code.
  • Scroll page - Will automatically scroll the page to a selected position.
  • Render with fixed size - Render the webpage with a fixed size.
  • Reload - Specify a reload interval, in minutes. If possible this will be done in the background. 
  • Specify framerate - Specify the framerate to run the webpage in, lowering this will improve performance.
