Features
Introducing Web Kiosk Mode, tailored for hosting external websites that are often restricted from running in an iFrame. Ideal for web shops, product configurators, and internet banking, this mode ensures seamless functionality by leveraging Dise One's full-fledged browser session.
Web Kiosk Mode includes an inactivity timer that automatically refreshes the browser session and displays the connected channel as a screensaver, keeping the display active and engaging.
Dise One now supports Web Access Control Lists, giving you the power to blacklist or whitelist URLs, cookies, and local storage. This feature is perfect for securing interactive applications by whitelisting essential domains while blocking everything else—like preventing access to social media within a web shop. It can also allow persistent cookies, such as saving a 'Cookie Policy' response, ensuring a smoother user experience without repeated prompts.
Due to internal browser limitations, web kiosk mode and access control list are currently supported only on Windows and Linux devices.
BrightSign Series 5 Support
Dise One now fully supports BrightSign Series 5. For the best video performance, including seamless gapless playback, we recommend the XC and XT devices.
Expanded Tizen Support
Dise One now runs on Samsung Tizen 6.5 and 5 devices. Just update to the latest firmware and you’re good to go!
Nightly Reboot
You can now schedule a nightly reboot using the RestartReplayAt custom setting in the CX Portal. Simply define an hour (0-23), and the device will randomly select a time within that hour to perform the reboot, ensuring smoother operation with minimal disruption.
New Custom Setting: One.ServerCommand
The One.ServerCommand setting now allows specific commands to be issued to the client. Each change requires updating the command number. Additional information here - https://support.dise.com/docs/custom-settings
Improvements
RS232 Enhancements
All screens connected via RS232 now report monitor info as ExtraSysInfo, which is included in getSystemInfo for easier access.
Dynascan now provides more detailed information and reports the NoSignal status correctly.
Samsung devices now allow input source and/or volume to be omitted from the ComX setting for greater flexibility.
More Detailed Hardware Information
We've expanded the hardware details available by adding:
Computer Name
Available Memory
Used Storage Space
Storage Usage Percentage
Improved Local Storage Retention
To better preserve Local Storage, we now shut down CEF on Windows and Linux before triggering a reboot. This helps ensure important data is retained across restarts for a smoother experience.
Local Websocket
Dise One now hosts a local WebSocket on port 6556, enabling enhanced connectivity and integration.
Improved Windows Installer
The Windows installer now includes updated metadata, correct version numbers, and code-signing certificates for enhanced security and reliability.
Logging Before Portal Connection
The player now starts logging even before connecting to the portal. If the player is offline, it will use the last connected display as a reference to store log data. Once reconnected, the saved logs will be sent to that display, ensuring no data is lost.
Internal API
We've enhanced how the client and player communicate, making interactions smoother and more efficient across all platforms.
Key improvements:
More Reliable Queries – The new Client API ensures consistency and stability.
Easier Future Updates – A streamlined structure makes it simpler to expand to new platforms.
Unified Communication – A single system now connects jsclient and jsplayer, reducing complexity and improving performance.
Fixes
Fixed an issue with sync of MQTT causing exceptions in the leader selection process.
The pairing code screen now shows correctly in portrait.
Resolved a WAMP connection issue when network names contained unsupported characters.
Errors related to missing log files have been fixed.
Improved storing and loading of logs to disk, preventing issues where offline logs were not saved correctly or repeatedly sent as unreadable data.
Improved connection stability between the CX portal and the pairing service to avoid issues with pairing, especially directly after boot.
Layer visibility now works correctly and transparent layers now work as intended.
All client alarms created by the player are now cleared when jsplayer is reloaded.
Fixed an issue causing touch to not work as expected on certain 1080x1920 screens.
Resolved an issue causing videos to freeze when transitioning between a template with a video.
Known Issues
Time zone and date & time settings configured in the portal doesn't work on Windows.
Limited time zone options that work on Tizen.
Reboot time currently locked to 04:00:00 with no way of changing it in CX Portal.
F23 devices using One 1.2 Linux must be re-paired after updating to 1.3.
If the player starts offline, proof of play may not be recorded until the player reconnects. If a player starts online and then goes offline, statistics will be recorded during the offline period.
