Object Properties
Common settings and effects can be selected from the 'Object Properties' panel:
More advanced settings can be changed via the 'Home' tab under 'Edit' or by right clicking the object.
General
- Object name - Name the object which will also change the object name in the timeline. This name will show up in the CX Portal if the object is connected to a template variable.
- Start/stop time - When an object appears/disappears from a scene.
- Transition in/out time - Specify a transition for an object. Click the button to change the Alpha transition properties.
- Flip - Flip the graphics of the object
- Mirror - Mirror the graphics of the object
Position and Size
- Rotate an object freely by double clicking and moving the black square corners.
- Specify an exact angle under 'Position and Size'.
- Use a negative angle for clockwise rotation.
- Use a positive angle for counter-clockwise.
- The position and aspect ration can be locked.
Texture
- Mapping rule - Change how an object is mapped to control how content is scaled. Commonly used to change an object to fill the area specified instead of keeping its aspect ratio.
- Wrapping rules - Change the horizontal and vertical rules of certain mapping rules.
- Alignment - Change the vertical and horizontal allignment.
- Zoom.
Gradient
- Select two colors to create a gradient.
- Use the arrows to control the gradient direction.
- Change colors of each corner for more advanced control.
Transparency
- Use the alpha slider for basic transparency settings.
- Set a gradient transparency:
- Use the arrows to control the gradient direction.
- Set values for each corner.
Shadow
- Add a shadow to the selected object.
- Specify the distance, shadow transparency and color.
- Use the arrows to control the direction of the shadow.
Reflection
- Add a reflection to the bottom of the selected object.
- Specify the distance, reflection fade, height and horizontal plane position.
3D
- Make an object look 3D by changing the angle, position and rotation center settings.
Effects
- Add effects to the selected object.
- Browse effects by clicking the plus button.
- Load and save effects.
Color Settings
- Change the color of the selected object.
- Create palettes for future use.
Time Locks
Specifies advanced timing rules for an object. Instead of an absolute time, the object's start and/or stop time can be dependent on other objects or the length of the scene.
