Premium v45

New Features

Python 3.11

Python 3.11.9 is now included in the Premium installation package. This update only affects new installations and will not be applied when updating the Premium player.

Watchdog

A new watchdog mechanism has been added for the Control Center. Once a display is paired to a server, the watchdog activates to monitor and ensure the Control Center stays running—and vice versa, ensuring mutual uptime.

Improvements

Filter downloads on location and tag conditions

Content with location or tag conditions will only be downloaded to players with the matching location or tags.

Replay API

We’ve improved channel identification by using the channel name as the default scenario name, and we’ve also added the ID for easier recognition and management.

Widget file extraction

We’ve enhanced widget compatibility by ensuring smoother ZIP file extraction. Hidden and system files are now ignored, preventing extraction errors and ensuring that your ZIP files are unpacked successfully every time.

Loading speed on long playlists

The loading of long playlists has been optimized to improve performance and playout.

Content download and logging

The premium player now provides enhanced debug logs to confirm when content is downloaded. Failed downloads will automatically retry, including when content is added to the playlist, ensuring more reliable content delivery.

Player Installer Reliability

Enhancements have been made to the player installer to ensure smoother update processes. Additional logging has been added to help diagnose any issues in the event of a failed update.
