The RSS template displays a sequence of RSS-news articles each time it is displayed. Settings include:
- selectionSetCount:
With large RSS-News feeds, the articles at the end of the collection are often old and not relevant. This setting limits the set used. - newsAmount:
How many articles to display as a sequence on each display. As an example, with a selectionSetCount of 7 and a newsAmount of 3, we will display [1, 2, 3], [4, 5, 6], [7, 1, 2], [3, 4, 5]... - hideBody:
Some RSS-feeds supply the entire article-text and this is not suited for a signage display. If the headings are complete enough (especially if an image is provided), not displaying the body-text can still work.
- XML-parsing is done without the need of any 3. party npm-library.
- The "Table (repeating data)" pattern is used for pagination.
