Debug Inspector

When Debug is enabled on a player via the Portal, a connected keyboard can be used to display debug information on-screen. The custom setting ‘One.PlayerInput’ must be enabled.

In addition to the standard debug bar at the top, the following keys provide enhanced tools:

  • w: Toggle the tool window to show current content, playback order, logic, and attributes.

  • t: Step through the playout information tabs: Attributes, Logs, Comports, Options. In the Attributes tab, the "Active" column shows whether an attribute is active; click to toggle its state.

  • d:  Cycle through additional debug windows: Player & playout information, Control File, Playlist/Media information.

Additional commands with Debug enabled:

  • i: Show infoA

  • p: Pause/Play

  • n: Next

  • b: Back

  • u: Request update/sync

  • r: Rotate display via CSS (for testing)

Tool window

The tool window shows important playout related information, as well as several tools for testing and troubleshooting:

  • Channel, playlist & media names with associated duration

  • Share of voice or playlist behavior information

  • Clicking the ellipsis for the channel, playlist or media shows additional information that can be manually adjusted:

  • Selecting the power icon with disable that item

  • The content playout window with playback controls:

    • Play / pause

    • Skip forward / back

    • Volume

    • Layer select

    • Content update

  • A set of playout information tabs

Attributes

All available attributes & tags on the player are shown here, including global attributes:

  • All can be individually toggled by clicking the tick icon

  • Attributes can also be manually edited:

Content

Information of the currently active media item, including:

  • ID

  • Size

  • Filename

Media can be filtered by:

  • Current - the item currently playing

  • Last error - the last media item that recorded an error in the player’s logs

  • Last reject - the last media item that didn’t play due to being rejected

  • Last ended - the last media item that played before the current one
