New Features
Folders
The folder pane has been given a subtle redesign to improve usability. Additionally when a folder is selected, items from all subfolders and locations are displayed, giving users a more comprehensive view of their content. To provide additional clarity, a new "Location" column shows the associated location of each item. Users can toggle a "Show all" option to limit the view to only the items within the currently selected folder and location, excluding content from any subfolders.
Template fields
New template field types are now supported:
Section: Collapsible groups of fields for better organization (supports nesting).
Select: Dropdown with predefined options.
Textarea: Larger text field with line break and paragraph support.
Help Center redesign
The Help Center has been completely overhauled with a modern, streamlined design. The new layout not only offers a cleaner and more visually appealing experience but also introduces improved navigation and enhanced functionality to help users find the information they need more quickly and efficiently.
Improvements
Playlist list filter
The playlist list view has been enhanced with a new "Type" filter, allowing users to easily differentiate between standard playlists and placeholders. This filter makes it more efficient to manage and locate specific types of playlists, or to view both simultaneously when needed.
Message creation enhancements
Several improvements have been made to streamline the message creation process. File type filtering is now guided by the mediaType field in the template’s template.json, ensuring that the correct file extensions are automatically selected when choosing media. Media thumbnails have also been improved for better visual accuracy, scaling correctly to display each asset clearly.
Time conditions default days
Time conditions have been updated so that all days are selected by default reducing the need for manual input in most scenarios.
Authentication service
The authentication service has undergone a series of backend improvements aimed at ensuring consistent and efficient synchronization of user data across all related systems. These updates help maintain better reliability and responsiveness in user authentication and access control.
Playlist load times
Significant API-level optimizations have been made to boost the performance of playlist-related operations. These changes result in noticeably faster load times within the user interface and improve the efficiency of API requests for those integrating directly.
Fixes
Fixed an issue where modifying sync settings on a display showed repeated and persistent confirmation messages.
Resolved an issue that prevented content from appearing in media library search results.
