New Features
Add-On Software Support
A new system has been introduced to remotely distribute, install, update, and remove additional or third-party software packages on Windows and Linux devices. Each package requires an install script to ensure proper installation by the Dise player. This has been incorporated into release channels.
Custom Setting to Disable Screen Power Management
A new custom setting, DisablePowerControl [boolean], has been introduced. When set to true, the player will stop content playback during non-operating hours without controlling the screen's power. This is useful in scenarios where external systems manage screen power independently.
Improvements
Playback Statistics for CX Portal in Synced Players
Follower players in a synced playback setup will now report their own playback statistics to the CX Portal, instead of relying on the leader player to do so. This provides more accurate tracking of content playback across all synced devices.
Improved Startup Handling When Offline
To address issues where the player would sometimes fail to connect to the CX Portal during offline startup, the following improvements have been made:
Nightly reboot is scheduled earlier to reduce the risk of being skipped due to connection issues during sync.
Connection flow has been restructured for more robust error handling when attempting to reach the CX Portal.
Additional logging has been added to provide clearer diagnostics during connection attempts.
Log Improvements
Multiple enhancements have been implemented to optimize logging behavior:
Reduced unnecessary log entries sent from the player to the portal, minimizing noise and improving performance.
Resolved issues with empty logs that previously included no data.
Several language updates.
Fixes

Fixed an issue that could cause players to stop synchronizing correctly.
When changing a custom setting variable the player now correctly responds to the change.
"Disable pointer events" clickthrough now works as expected.
Fixed an issue causing Tizen 7 players not to respond to operating hours correctly.
Fixed an issue where setting 1080x1920 resolution with rotation caused incorrect xandr parameters and log errors.
Multi-screen solutions will now work as expected on Ubuntu players.
Display screenshots will now appear correctly for Ubuntu players.
Linux players now apply layout changes as expected and a reboot or manual refresh is no longer needed.
Known Issues
Philips Android screens can occasionally get stuck on ‘No signal’ when manually rebooting from the CX Portal.
Time zone and date & time settings configured in the portal doesn't work on Windows.
Limited time zone options that work on Tizen.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the Tizen app will not clear existing settings, and the player will continue functioning with the previous configuration. Updating works as expected, and performing a factory reset will still clear all settings.
Some error messages are incorrectly shown as notice level errors.
The Dise Control Center cannot be opened on BrightSign devices.
ChromeOS, Sony Android and Philips Android players can't be updated via release channels, please contact Dise Support for assistance.
When installing on Philips Android, error code 0/1 can occasionally be seen during installation, which can be ignored.
On Philips Android, transitions between content is not always fully gapless. This is caused when there is low hardware performance resource available.
On Philips and Sony Android, UHD content requires more hardware performance resource meaning video frame rate and general playout performance can be impacted.
Some Tizen TEP APIs for specific privileges functionalities are unavailable at the public level, e.g. http://tizen.org/privilege/tv.audio.
