Support for Samsung Tizen 7

We're thrilled to announce that we now have full support for Tizen 7 in this latest release of our Lite player. Including GaplessVideo mode.

Support for Philips Android 11

We've now extended support to the brand new Philips Android 11 range.

Philips Android Orientation

The orientation of Philips Android displays can now be changed from the CX Portal.

Improvements

Better connection with the platform

By adjusting the frequency of reconnect attempts after a player has been offline and fine-tuning data subscriptions, we’ve made significant improvements. Expect faster re-connections and a more reliable experience with our platform.

Pairing code discovery

We've improved the way we handle secure http connections which will make the connection to our pairing code discovery more reliable on all devices.

Improved error handling on LG

Additional error handling with local storage preventing possible issues resulting in Dise getting stuck on 'Initializing'.

Improved troubleshooting tools

The Dise OSD can be opened before playback starts to show the log to troubleshoot issues pre-playback with additional logging during startup.

Validation of download files

Enhanced file validation for Tizen devices on file download which results in re-downloading files if any problems are found.

Mute device

When Tizen devices are muted via the CX Portal, the device volume is set to 0 ensuring the mute symbol remains hidden.

Bug Fixes

• Playlist update would cause playback to restart prematurely if gapless mode was enabled.
• Tizen devices would not properly report back their metadata including network information and OS version.
• In some cases a transparent layer would show on screen.

Known Issues

• Philips Android 11 doesn't support portrait flipped mode.
• Philips Android 11 show HD templates on 4K screens correctly.
