Main Status

The main status of a display is a summary status, showing the current worst state of the Player, Screen and Content statuses, if the display is unpaired or if a status overrride is active. Displays can be filtered by this main status.

Player, Screen, Content

Displays have 3 separate statuses P/S/C:

  • Player - The heartbeat connection of a player to the Dise server. Shows a warning if no heartbeat is received for 5 minutes, escalating to error after a further 5 minutes.
  • Screen - Displays warnings or errors related to the screen. If RS232 is used, additional details and statuses are available. When the player status is warning or error, the screen status is dimmed and shows the last known state.
  • Content - Indicates playback-related warnings or errors, such as corrupted content or playback window failures. Like the screen status, it is dimmed if the player status is warning or error.
  • Operating hours - Shows whether a display is currently within its scheduled active hours. This too is dimmed if the player status is warning or error.

Status Indicators

Player, Screen, Content statuses have 3 states indicated by different colors:

  • Red - Error status indicates a critical error with the display. E.g. no heartbeat has been recieved for 10 minutes, the screen isn't connected or content isn't playing.
  • Amber - Warning status indicates a less critical error with the display. E.g. no heartbeat has been received for 5 minutes, there's a temperature issue with the screen or one content item in a playlist is corrupt.
  • Green - Normal status indicates the display is online and playing content correctly.
